Undertrial prisoner dies at Sitamarhi Sadar Hospital

Sitamarhi : An undertrial prisoner Ram Laxmi Thakur, 60, died on November 24, 2017, at Sadar Hospital, Sitamarhi, during the course of treatment. Sitamarhi jail sources said Thakur was unwell for quite some time but was admitted to the Sadar Hospital only on November 24. He was accused in a murder case and had been in jail for the last four years.

The deceased was a resident of village Phulparasi under Sahiyara police station in Sitamarhi district and was an ex- serviceman. His younger brother Pappu Thakur said that he was not provided proper treatment.
