Saharsa : Two youth were injured in an exchange of fire between two groups at Chinhi Mor on Jamhra – Bhaddi road under Patarghat police outpost (OP) under Saur Bazaar police station (PS) in Saharsa district on October 6, 2017.
The two injured youth identified Vilas Yadav and Ranjit Yadav of Bajrangi tola in Kisanpur panchayat, who sustained bullet injury in leg, were rushed to the narest Primary Health Centre (PHC) where the doctors referred them to Sadar Hospital, Saharsa. Badri Yadav, father of Vilas Yadav, his son was returning to his Bajrangi tola residence from village Bhaddi but on the way Jai Kumar Yadav and Ranjit Yadav fired on him near Chinhi Mor and bullet hit him in the leg. But, Ranjit Yadav alleged that bike borne Vilas Yadav and Kailash Yadav fired on him when he was standing at a betel shop near Chinhi Mor injuring his leg.
Patarghat OP team reached the PHC to inquire into the incident. OP incharge Rudal Kumar attributed the incident to battle for supremacy between the two sides. Police are conducting raids to arrest the other persons involved in the firing.
