School teacher dies in accident in Saharsa

Saharsa : Teacher of a private located on roadside near village Patuaha under Sadar police station in Saharsa district Mohammad Javed Iqbal was crushed to death by a speeding tractor near Dumrail Chowk at  8 am on October 6, 2017, when he was returning to his Saharsa Busti residence on his bike after dropping his son to the same school. Mohammad Javed Iqbal died on the spot.

Angry over his death in the accident, the locals blocked Dumral Chowk on Saharsa – Madhepura road on NH 107. They also set ablaze the tractor and staged demonstration on the road. The Dumral Chowk remained blocked for three hours. Mohd Javed Iqbal was a native of village Paharpur under Simribakhtiarpur police station in Saharsa district. He was teacher in the same school where his son studies. SDPO, Saharsa, Prabhakar Tiwari pacified the mob after which the blockade was removed.
