Ara : Bhojpur police claim to have cracked the case of murder of a bridegroom Sudhir on May 7, 2017, at village Pilapur under Jagdishpur police station by arresting two persons including the former lover of the bride on May 19, 2017,  evening though another aide of the miscreant managed to escape.

The arrested persons were identified as Aman Kumar alias Saroj, son of Nand Kishore Singh of Nayaka Tola, and Subhash Kumar, son of Raja Ram Sah, of the same village under Jagdishpur police station. Police are, however, yet to arrest Premchand, son of Ran Vijay Singh of Shobha Tola under Jagdishpur police station.

Bhojpur SP Kshatranil Singh said that Sudhir alias Vindhyachal of village Utterdaha under Tier police station was to marry Sushama, daughter of Siddheshwar Kushwaha, at Pilapur village under Jagdishpur police station on May 7, 2017. After the ‘jaimal’ when the bridegroom was getting into his car, some persons shot him dead and escaped. The SP said Aman Kumar was preparing for competitive examination at Allahabad and he had met Sushma at the cloth shop of his father at the village for the first time and fell in love.

In the meantime, Siddheshwar Kushwaha fixed the marriage of his daughter with Sudhir. At this, Aman Kumar had threatened Sushma that he would not allow her to become the wife of anyone else and hatched a plan with the help of his two friends and killed Sudhir at the marriage venue. Sushma had already confessed before police about her love affair, the SP said.
