Bride refuses to go to in-laws’ place as groom faints due to epilepsy

Sasaram : A bride refused to go to her in-laws house as immediately after her marriage the bridegroom had a bout of epilepsy and he became unconscious.

A baarat from village Takia under Sasaram police station in Rohtas district had come to Basawan Ansari’s place at village Sawari under Nasariganj police station on May 19, 2017. Sarfaraz, son of Ashique Anasari of village Takia had come to marry with the daughter of Basawan Ansari. The marriage was solemnized and when in the bridegroom came to take his newlywed wife, he fell conscious due to a bout  of epilepsy. At this the bride refused to go with him and all efforts of the groom’s family went in vain.

Later the ‘talaq’ ritual was performed and the groom had to give Rs 15,000 to the bride for talaq. It was reportedly the third marriage of Sarfraz and every time his marriage broke due to epilepsy.
