Traders block Dhobaha- Ara main road for 4 hours

Ara : Irate villagers blocked Dhobaha-Ara main road paralysing the movement of vehicles for about four hours near village Sar-Siwan under Dhobaha Bazaar Police Outpost on January 23, 2018, in protest against thrashing of a businessman by some people for demanding payment of his arrears.

Some persons had allegedly purchased some articles from a shop about six months ago on credit saying that they would pay the money next day but even after lapse of six months they did not pay the amount despite several requests. On January 23, the shopkeeper demanded his arrears when he saw them in the market. Infuriated at his demands, they beat up the shopkeeper and and two others. The injured were admitted to Ara Sadar Hospital.

After this, the other businessmen and traders put their shutters down and blocked the Dhobaha-Ara main road near Sar-Siwan village supported by the locals . They were demanding immediate arrest of the culprits and security to the businessmen and traders. The blockade was lifted after positive response of the police officials.
