Bettiah : West Champaran police on August 29, 2018, arrested three criminals and recovered three firearms and few live cartridges from their possession.
SP, West Champaran, Jayant Kant on August 30 said that an armed bandit Mohammad Safadar of village Adhakaparia under Ramgharawa police station in East Champaran was arrested by a police team led by SDPO, Bettiah, Pankaj kumar Rawat. Mohammad Safadar with his associates had looted Rs 1.30 lakh cash at gun point from Manager of a private finance company of Bettiah, Mantu Sah, who was returning from Gopalpur police station area on his bike after collecting money from company’s clients on August 21, 2018, evening.
Banuchhapra Police Outpost, on the other hand, arrested two motorbike lifters: Hariom Kumar and Sheo Kumar with two countrymade pistols and three live cartridges. The arrested criminals disclosed the crimes they had committed, the SP said.
