Manager of pvt firm shot at & injured by criminals in W Champaran, cash looted

Bettiah: Manager of a private finance company Mantu Sah was shot at and seriously injured by a gang of criminals on Sargatia Bairagia bridge under Gopalpur police station in West Champaran district on August 20, 2018, evening, when he was returning to Bettiah from Gopalpur after collecting money from company’s clients.

A gang of criminals waylaid Sah near the bridge, shot at him and looted cash on August 20 evening. Sah was brought over to MJK Hospital, Bettiah, for treatment by the police. West Champaran SP Jayant Kant said that the amount looted by the criminals from Sah would be known after investigation. Police investigation into the incident is on, the SP said.

Arrest :A police team led by SDPO, Bettiah, Pankaj Kumar Rawat, on a tip, of carried out raids at various places under Bairia police station on August 20, 2018, night, and arrested two criminals when they were planning to commit dacoity. The third criminal managed to escape.

The two arrested criminals were identified as Sunil Kushwaha and Nirbhay Kumar of village Laximipur under Joga- patti police station in West Champaran district. Police seized a loaded countrymade gun from the possession of one of the two arrested criminals.
