Bettiah: Altogether 118 Mahadlits, residents of Gaunaha, Narakatiaganj and Lauria blocks under Narkatiaganj Sub Division in West Champaran district, have been given Homestead land parchas for their rehabilitation under Public Gievance Redressal Act, 2015.
According official sources, these Mahadalits had filed petitions before Public Grievance Redressal Officer of Narakatiaganj Sub-Divisions Anil Kumar Jha demanding Homestead land on which they had been living peacefully for the past several years but did not have legal right over the land. Now, they have been become owners of the land, said a press release issued by DM, West Champaran on August w31, 2018.
