Srikanth, Prannoy suffer shock defeats in Asian Games

Patna : World No 9 in Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings Kidambi Srikanth and World No 11 H S Prannoy, both India, suffered shock defeats in the second round of the men’s singles competition at 18th Asian Games at Jakarta – Palembang, Indonesia, on August 24, 2018. Both of them had also made early exists at the Nanjing World Championship early this month.

Srikanth lost 21-23 19-21 to Wong Wing Ki Vincent of Hong Kong in a 43-minute while Prannoy lost 12-21 21-15 15-21 to Thailand’s Kantaphon Wangcharoen in a 65-minute contest.
