Sindhu, Saina enter QFs of badminton women’s singles

Patna : World No 3 in Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings P V Sindhu and World No 10 Saina Nehwal, both India, entered the quarter-finals of women’s badminton singles event at the 18th Asian Games at Jakarta, Indonesia.

Sindhu, the third seed, beat World No 22 Gregoria Mariska Tunjung, Indonesia, 21-12, 21-15 in the Round of 16. Saina beat World No 40 Fitriani Fitriani, Indonesia,  21-6, 21-14 in 31 minute to move into QFs.
