Patna : Bihar police has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to inquire into the mysterious death of Deepak Kumar, 21, son of senior JD(U) MLA from Rupauli in Purnia district Bima Bharti.
Deepak’s body was found on railway track on Rajendra Nagar Terminal, Patna, near Bhootnath road on August 3, 2018, early morning. The JD(U) MLA has lodged an FIR in connection with death of her son Deepak with the police. She has named 7 persons in the FIR including a former MLA Shankar Singh.
Superintendent of Railway Police (SRP), Patna, Ashok Kumar Singh, on August 4 said the SIT is looking into pivotal aspects of the case like collecton of evidence, identifying the accused, and arresting the culprits.
Deepak’s father Awadhesh Mandal had on August 3 alleged that his rivals had killed his son. Deepak had gone to meet his friends on Augsut 2 evening.
