Shortage of staff, snag in computer hits functioning of Naraipur Post Office

Bagagah: Shortage of staff and snag in computer for the last three months has affected the functioning of Naraipur sub- post office located on the  premises  Tirupati Sugar Mill, Bagaha, under Bagaha sub-division in West Champaran district. As a result, parcels, registry related documents and speed post letters, money orders are not being sent to other destinations from here. This has also affected the functioning of 70 branch post- offices connected to Naraipur sub- post office.

Several letters regarding the condition of these post  offices have been sent to higher authorities including the Superintendent, department of post, Bettiah, but to no avail so far. Post Master, sub- Post-Office, Naraipur, Vishwanath Prasad has to face the ire of  the people almost daily as they are unable to either draw money from their accounts or deposits the same at these post- offices for the last three months. Naraipur sub-post office, now- a- days, only dispatches ordinary letters to their destinations and distributes those coming from outside.

Y S Bhatanagar, GM ( personnel), Tirupati sugars mill, says due to poor functioning of Naraipur post-office, postal works of the factory has suffered. Inspector, post offices, Rajesh Kumar, said that the server of the post- office computer is out of order and has been sent for repair.
