Sasaram court sentences 2 persons to rigorous life imprisonment

Sasaram : Fast Track Court II, Sasaram, Judge Ravindra Mani Tripathi on August 7, 2018, sentenced to rigorous life imprisonment two convicts : Ramesh Singh of Bhawanipur Badhaiya Bagh and Harendra Singh of village Karwar, in Rohtas district, in connection with murder of Ramesh Singh’s cousin Mundrika Singh.

The court had convicted them on August 3, 2018, and had fixed August 4, 2018, for the pronouncement of quantum of punishment but Ramesh Singh escaped from the court after conviction though he surrendered before the court on August 4, 2018.

Advocate Sugriv Chaudhary said that Ramesh Singh along with Harendra Singh had shot dead his cousin brother Mundrika Singh on May 24, 2014, over a land dispute. He said that after the escape of Ramesh Singh, the pronouncement of punishment was postponed.
