Saharsa : Saharsa police are yet to arrest the killers of Bhojpuri film actor Junaid alias Rocky even after lapse of 19 days . Rocky, who had acted in film `Bhojpuria Badshah’, was murdered on September 15, 2017. Police had lodged an FIR against five named accused in this connection. He was aresident of Saharsa Busti under Sadar Police Station (PS), Saharsa.
Rocky’s kin relatives and supporters staged dharna on Dumrail Chowk on October 4, 2017, blocking traffic on Saharsa – Madhepura and Saharsa – Sonbersa Raj roads for four hours to protest police inaction in the case. They were raising slogans against police. SDO, Saharsa, Saurabh Jorwal has directed SHO, Sadar PS, to identify the protesters and lodge FIR against them. SDPO, Prabhakar Tiwary, pacified the mob after which the blockade was lifted.
