Bhabhua: Kaimur district administration spent about Rs 88,000 on the refreshments of the officials during relief works for the flood affected people in the district.

Kaimur DM Rajeshwar Prasad Singh convened a meeting of officials for fixation of rates of different articles on September 10, 2016, and passed the amount spent on the refreshments of the officials who were on relief operation duty during flood.

Senior ADM and incharge, Disaster Management, K K Upadhyay confirmed expenditure of Rs 88,000 on the refreshments of officials. He said that nine boats were requisitioned for the relief operation but their rate could not be justified at the meeting and said that the rates of boats would be approved after going through rates of boats in other districts. Likewise, the rates of polythene sheets will also be approved after tallying it with other districts, he said.

Rohtas SP Harpreet Kaur, acting Civil Surgeon Dr Anil Kumar Singh, District Agriculture Officer Bharat Singh and other officials of the district were present atn the meeting.
