Ara: A case of fraudulent withdrawal of Rs 3.98 lakh from Bank of India, Ara branch,  account of a woman  has come to light. An FIR has been lodged with the Town police station against the fraud on the statement of bank account holder Jyoti Kumari on Friday after she received a message of drawal of money from her account.

SHO Town Police Station said that Jyoti Kumari of Samastipur has a saving bank account in Ara branch of Bank of India. On Thursday, a fraud drew Rs 3.98 lakh from her account fraudulently through a fake cheque. Jyoti Kumari, after she received message of cash withdrawal from her bank account on her mobile, reached the bank to confirm the matter. The bank informed her that the amount had been withdrawn from her account. After that she lodged an FIR with Town police station. Police are looking for the fraud.
