Ara: Additional District and Session Judge VI, Ara, Rajesh Kumar, awarded rigorous life imprisonment to Dharmendra Singh of Nathmalpur village under Barahara police station in Bhojpur district on Friday in connection with murder of Raghumansh Mani Singh at village Semaria under Barahara police station on July 21, 2006. The court also slapped a fine of Rs 12,000 on him. The court declared another accused Harendra Singh absconder.
Dharmendra Singh and Harendra Singh of Nathmalpur village under Barahara police station along with his associates dragged out Raghumansh Mani Singh of Semaria village from his house when he was sleeping and shot him dead on July 21, 2006, night. Later, a named FIR was lodged with Barahara police station. Enmity during last panchayat election was said to be the reason behind the incident.
