Retd armyman, wife arrested in Bhojpur in attempt to murder case

Ara : Bhojpur police, on a tip off, conducted raids at village Karath under Tarari police station on October 20, 2017, and arrested a retired armyman Krishna Bihari Tiwari and his wife Usha Devi and also seized one regular rifle, one double barrel loaded rifle, two countrymade pistols, 21 live cartridges and 8 blank cartridges from his house. They were arrested in connection with an attempt to murder case. The license of the rifles was issued from Jammu & Kashmir.

Bhojpur SP Awakash Kumar said that Krishna Bihari Singh had shot at and injured Anugrah Narayan Singh and his on Sushil Singh on October 18, 2017, evening, and they are undergoing treatment at a hospital at Bikramganj in Rohtas district and they are out of danger. The SP said that Krishna Bihari Singh was bursting crackers at the gate of his house. This annoyed his neighbour and they objected to it after which a furious Krishna Bihar Singh shot at and injured the father- son duo, the SP said.
