Notorious criminal Makhan Gope shot dead by rivals at Patna

Patna : Dreaded criminal Makhan Gope, who was accused in over two dozen cases of loot, extortion, murder and Arms Act, was shot dead by his rivals in Ahiran Gali in Ramjichak locality under Digha police station, Patna, around 1.45 pm on October 21, 2017. Makhan, who was recently released on bail, had to come to his in-laws’ place in Ahiran Gali in Ramjichak locality in Diwali.

SHO, Digha police station, R K Dubey, said that an FIR against one Ravi Kumar and five unnamed accused was lodged by Makhan Gope’s sister -in-law ( Shali) with Digha police station in connection with the incident. The SHO, however, said that police were yet to arrest any accused. He said that Makhan was resident of Pothia Bazaar under Danapur police station, Patna. The named accused Ravi was earlier friend of Makhan.
