Saharsa : Raushan Ara was elected unopposed at the Chaiperson of Simribakhtiarpur Nagar Panchayat in Saharsa district on June 9, 2017, while Vikas Kumar waselected Deputy Chairperson, also unopposed. Th election was held at Krishi Bhavan in the presence of State Election Commission Observer Sunil Dutt Jha, ADM. Raushan Ara was elected councillor from ward number 8 of the Nagar Panchayat.
