Puja committes asked to seek licence for pandals in Muzaffarpur

Muzaffarpur : DM, Muzaffarpur, Dharmendra Singh, has directed the officials concerned not to allow any puja committee to set up puja pandal without getting licence from the district administration. The same directive will be applicable on Tazia processions as well. The DM reviewed the district administration’s preparations for Durga Puja and Muharram on September 16, 2017. The DM asked the officials to take stern action against those involved in spreading rumours.

DM Singh directed the officials concerned not to grant licence to Durga Puja Committee which did not follow the routes prescribed for idol immersion processions besides asking them to ensure that Puja pandals are installed under transformers and high tension wire. The power companies have been asked not give power connection to pandals not having licence besides verifying power loads at different pandals. Applications for licence for puja pandals and Tazia procession should not be accepted after September 24, the DM told the officials.
