Police seize truck carrying meat, leather on Nasariganj main road, 3 held

Sasaram : Residents of Bikramganj in Rohtas district stopped a truck carrying meat and leather near a petrol pump on the Nasariganj main road on March 4, 2019, night, and handed it over to police. Police arrested the owner, driver and cleaner of the truck and are interrogating them.

SHO, Bikramganj police station, Priyaranjan, said that the meat and leather loaded truck was going to Dehri-on-Sone via Nasariganj but was trapped in the traffic jam there. A foul smell was emitting from the truck that drew the attention of the people there and they stopped the truck. The driver of the truck tried to escape with the vehicle but due to aggressive protest by the locals, he failed in his bid.
