Police seize half made liquor in Bhojpur

Ara: Bhojpur police, on a tip off, conducted raid at Musahar Toli under Hasanbazaar police outpost on Friday and seized half made liquor, zawa mahua in large quantity besides equipment used for rewing liquor though the persons engaged in brewing liquor escaped from the scene. Police destroyed the half made liquor and brought the zawa mahua and apparatus to the police station. SHO, Hasan Bazaar police outpost, said that the police secretly conducted raids but the accused escaped. But the people of the area said that liquor mafias were still quite active in the area. They said that the police had seized liquor in the areas under Piro and Charpokhari police station earlier but failed to arrest the members of liquor mafia.
