Police seize 428 bottles of IMFL from Pick-up van at Ara

Ara : Bhojpur police on May 13, 2019, night, seized 428 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) from a Pick-up van from Uttar Pradesh.at Maharaja Hata under Nawada police station, Ara, though the liquor smugglers escaped from the spot. Police  seized the Pick-Up van which was election duty.

SHO, Nawada police station,  said that he got information that a big consignment of IMFL was smuggled from Uttar Pradeshfor sale at Ara after which he immediately swung into action and seized the Pick-Up van parked unattended at Maharaja Hata under the police station. When the Picl-up was searched, police seized liquor from a vault especially made for the purpose in the van. Interestingly, the Pick-Up van was on election duty in Uttar Pradesh and a pass of Balia election office  signed by  district magistrate Bhawani Singh Khagaraut was pasted on the windscreen of the vehicle. The Pick-Up van belongs to Rang Lal Rajbhar of Paliakhas in Balia district in Uttar Pradesh
