Ara : Bhojpur police arrested a former Pramukh, Dumraon in Buxar district,  from Ara on May 14, 2019, in connection with murder of a person in Buxar on February 21, 2019. The arrested person was handed over to Itadhi police in Buxar district.

SHO, Bihia police station, said that Dhananjay Kumar of village Niranjanpur village under Koransarai police station in Buxar district and former Pramukh, Dumraon, had allegedly shot dead Akhilesh Kumar Singh of Itadhi village under the same police station on February 21, 2019, and fled away and  was absconding ever since.

A named FIR was lodged with Itadhi police station against him. Meanwhile, Bhojpur police got information that Dhananjay Kumar had taken shelter at the house of Ram Ji Gond at Sahebtola under Bihia police station from where he allegedly escaped with Rs 3 lakh. When the house owner  demanded his money, Dhananjay Kumar thrashed him fracturing his hand and leg. Later, police caught Dhananjay Kumar from Ara and handed him over to Itadhi police in Buxar.
