Bagaha : Police on July 7, 2017, seized 200 litres of spirit smuggled into Bihar from Uttar Pradesh from the house of one Hiralal Yadav of village Dawanaha under Dhanaha police station in West Champaran district and arrested two alleged purchaser identified as Suresh Prasad and Shambhu Ram of Sisawa Basantpur under Chautarawa police station in the district. A vehicle, which was used to carry the consignment, was also seized.
SHO, Dhanaha police station, Rajesh Kumar said that the spirit was seized with vehicle used for carrying the spirit but Hiralal Yadav managed to escape. However, two purchasers Suresh Prasad and Shambhu Ram were arrested by police when they reached there to purchase the consignment. They were sent to Bagaha jail.
