Bagaha : Lakshaman Soni of village Harnatard under Laukaria police station in West Champaran, who was involved in five cases of naxal violence and other major crime, was arrested by police on Harnatard-Banakatwa road with a countrymade pistol, four live cartridges, two electronic detonators, naxal posters and  three levy notices on July 2, 2017, evening.

SHO, Laukaria police station, Sunil Sinha, said that Lakshman Soni was arrested on Harnatard-Banakatwa road when he was going to meet another Maoist Mahesh Oraon and attend a meeting of naxalites at village Sheonaha. The SHO, on a routine patrolling with his associates, saw him there and started searching him and recovered arms and ammunition from his possession. The SHO said that Soni was involved in five cases of naxal violence and other major crime and was on bail.
