Police rescues kidnapped girl

Ara: Police rescued a teenage girl from the clutches of her kidnapper , who was arrested at Ara and forwarded him to jail on Monday. Police produced the girl before the Chief Judicial Magistrate and got her statement registered recorded under section 164 of CrPC. The court ordered for her medical examination. Bhojpur police brought the girl to Ara Sadar Hospital on Tuesday for her medical examination. 

The SHO, Sahar police station, said Pinki Kumari (name changed) of village Ekwari village is student of class X. She came in contact with Pankaj Kumar, son of Baleshwar Mahto of Inrukhi village under Sahar police station, on wayto her school. Pankaj lured her and took her to Surat on July 25, 2016, promising to marry her. A named FIR had been lodged with Sahar police station against six persons including Pankaj Kumar in this regard. The SHO said that Pankaj Kumar kept the girl at a rented house at Surat for about 35 days. Meanwhile, police got information that Pankaj along with Pinki is returning home from Surat. Police laid a trap and arrested Pankaj Kumar at Ara and freed the girl from his clutches though the girl told the Magistrate that she had gone with Pankaj on her own and was not kidnapped.
