Police recover body of teenage girl from canal at Rohtas village

Sasaram : Rohtas police recovered body of a 13 year old girl floating in a canal near village Sayyad Bigaha under Nasariganj police station on March 3, 2019, morning. Police brought the body over to Sasaram Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The deceased was identified as daughter of Ramesh Prasad of village Lalganj Mathuripur under Dihari police station.

SHO, Nasariganj police station, Samrat Singh, said that the girl had gone to the field to attend call of nature in the morning on February 27, 2019, but she did not return. Her family members searched for her everywhere and when they failed to locate her, they lodged a missing report with Diahari police station. He said that the villagers saw body of a girl floating in the canal and informed the police.
