Ara : Bhojpur police found body of a teenage girl on the outskirts of village Panwari under Sikarhatta police station on August 3, 2018, and brought it over to Sadar Hospital, Ara, for postmortem. The deceased was daughter of Jalil Ansari of village Panwari who was missing for the last two days, her family members had lodged a missing complaint with SHO, Sikarhatta police station.

SHO, Sikarhatta police station, said that on August 3, the villagers informed that body of a girl was lying at Navrangi Badhar of village Panwari under Sikarhatta police station. Police immediately rushed to the spot and recovered the body. He said that someone strangulated her to death and threw the body there to evade evidence.

Jalil Ansari, father of the deceased, said that a youth of the village had decoyed his daughter on August 1, 2018, and her body was recovered on August 3. He alleged that the youth outraged her modesty and threw her body on the outskirts of the village after killing her.
