Police interrogating Prashant Singh in Ara contractor murder case

Ara : Police are interrogating an inmate of Ara jail Prashant Kumar Singh alias Bholu Singh of Maharaja Hata colony near eastern gate of H D Jain College, Ara, under Nawada apolice station in connection with the murder of Krishna Ranjan Pandey alias Kakku Pandey, contractor, Ara Municipal Corporation (AMC) and former Bhojpur District JD(U) General Secretary, after taking him 0n remand on August 22, 2017, evening.

The court ordered remand of Bholu Singh for 24 hours on August 22, 2017. Police are interrogating him on different points including the conspirators and pistols used in the murder of Kakku Pandey. Bholu Singh, under mounting police pressure, had surrendered before the court on August 20 and was sent to jail on 14 days judicial custody. The court also issued warrant of property attachment against three unnamed accused Sudhir Pandey and  Lamboo Tiwari of Chandawa under Nawada police station, Ara, and Golu Singh of Baligaon under Ayar police station in the case on August 22.

Bhojpur SP Awakash Kumar said that some persons had shot dead Krishna Ranjan Pandey of Suryapuri colony in Shivganj locality under Town police station in a room of a government building at collectorate pond adjacent to the SP office around 10pm on August 14, 2017, over a dispute of Rs 16 lakh of contract with another contractor Prashant Singh alias Bholu Singh. A named FIR was lodged against Prashant Singh alias Bholu Singh while Shudhir Pandey, Golu Singh and Lamboo Tiwari were made unnamed accused. The FIR was lodged on the statement of Rashmi Pandey, wife of the deceased.

Police attached properties  of Lamboo Tiwari on August 22 evening while they are reportedly waiting for the surrender of Sudhir Pandey and Golu Singh on August 23. The Bhojpur SP said no accused will be spared.
