Police identify 4 criminals lynched by mob recently in Rohtas

Sasaram : Rohtas police have identified all the four miscreants who were beaten to death by a mob after  they attacked Arun Chaudhry, husband of District Board member, Kowath, Rinki Devi. They were identified as Laxman Pandey, son of Suresh Pandey of Yogini village, Om Prakash Yadav alias  Dipu Yadav of Itwa village in Rohtas district, Abhishek Dubey, son of Rambriksh Dubey of Simari village, and his nephew (bhanja) Abhishek Kumar Dubey, only son of Sant Prasad Dubey of Dawanpura under Simari police station in Buxar district. Two of the four killed were from Buxar and were allegedly members of ‘Kabja’ gang.

SHO, Dawath police station, Alok Kumar said that Laxman Pandey was the main accused killed by the mob. He said that Laxman Pandey had demanded Rs 2 lakh from Arun Chaudhary and Rs 3 lakh from a local businessman Kapil Sah and when they did not yield to his demands, he along with his aide attacked Arun Chaudhary when he was at his cloth shop and fired on him but he escaped unhurt but a youth standing nearby Neeraj Kumar was injured. He said that Om Prakash Yadav alias Dipu Yadav had failed at  the matriculation examination this year and had returned to Sasaram after taking compartmental examination and joined the gang of Laxman Pandey. Family of Abhishek Dubey lives in Giridih in Jharkhand.

The SHO said that an FIR has been lodged with the police under Dawath police station against 400 unknown persons and added that the police were going through the footage from different CCTVs installed at different places in the market.
