Ara : Police arrested two love birds from Ara Patel Bus Stand near Dharahara under Town police station on Ara-Patna main road in Bhojpur district on October 12, 2017, when they were going to Patna.
Monu Kumar, son of Sunil Chaurasia of village Govindpur in Nawada district, worked as a false ceiling mason and had come to village Tarari in Bhojpur district for fitting false ceiling in a building being constructed for Skill Development Centre. During his stay at Tarari, he came in contact with a girl and both developed some relation. Monu Kumar told police that they had got married at a Hajipur court on February 2, 2017. She lived with him but on September 28, 2017, she had come to his parents at Tarari for Dussehara. Now he was taking his wife to Bakhtiyarpur but the girl refused to go with him on way and seeing them having heated exchange, people handed them over to police.
On the other hand, the girl said that Monu Kumar decoyed her on February 13, 2017, and brought her to Patna where he outraged her modesty almost daily. He also beat her up accusing her of talking to other persons and so she had come back to her parents.
