Ara : Police, acting on a tip off, conducted raid at village Ayar under Ayar police station in Bhojpur district on October 14, 2017, and arrested Panchanand Sharma and his son Arun Kumar Sharma while making countrymade pistols and also seized two half made countrymade pistols and equipment used for making firearms. Police lodged a named FIR with Ayar police station and forwarded them to jail.
Panchanand Sharma is expert in making illegal firearms and police had busted his illegal gun factory and arrested him three years ago too but his son Arun Kumar Sharma had escaped. After his release from the jail on bail, Panchanand along with his son once again started making illegal firearms.
