Saharsa : Police arrested Mukhia of Pastpar panchayat under Mahishi block in Saharsa district Rahulraj with four criminals along materials used for making bombs from a black Safari car on October 25, 2017, night, near a Gas Godown at Kahra Kuti under Sadar police station, Saharsa. Police also seized Rs 35,000 cash from the arrested persons.
Police intercepted the Safari after a hot chase. SDPO, Saharsa, Prabhakar Tiwary had received information that some criminals were moving in car with bomb making materials. The arrested criminals included Nitesh Kumar of Phulparas in Madhubani district, an expert in making bombs, who was allegedy hired by the Mukhia. Rahulraj and Ranjan Kumar were in drunken state when police arrested them. Police presented the five arrested criminals before the mediapersons. SHO, Sadar Police Station, Rakesh Kumar, said that police seized the Safari car.
