Saharsa : The residents of village Patori under Bihra police station in Saharsa district on November 2, 2017, thrashed a teacher of Seva Ashram Kanya Madhya Vidyalaya Mohd Luqman for allegedly trying to molest a class VIII girl student of the school in a school room. The villagers were trying to set ablaze Luqman but police reached the place on time and saved him. Police arrested Luqman and registered an FIR against him. Later, Luqman was sent to jail.
The villagers alleged Mohd Luqman was trying to entice the girl for the past few days in the name of teaching her music. Luqman took her to a school room on November 2 and tried to molest her but she started shouting for help after which the villagers reached there and rescued her and thrashed the accused, the villagers said. The villagers also smreared black colour on Luqman’s face and poured Kerosene oil on him to set him afire but timely arrival of police saved him. Luqman, however, rubbished the charges against him and claimed that he had been framed in a false case under a political conspiracy.
SI, Bihra police station, Mithilesh Kumar, said that police had registered a case against Luqman on the statement of the girl and were inquiring into the incident. The accused has been sent to jail, the SI said.
