Sitamarhi: Police under the leadership of Belsand SDPO in Sitamarhi district Surabh Suman arrested two extortion seekers: Sanjay Patel and Manish Kumar, along with two countrymade pistols and four live rounds on December 12, 2017.
The two criminals, who were arrested near Parsauni Bazar, admitted havig made extortion calls and resorting to random firing in Sitamarhi town on December 6, 2017, night, in which two daily wage overtime workers sustained bullet injuries, said SP Hari Prasath S. He addedd that Sanjay is a resident of Sheohar district and had been to jail in connection with naxal activities whereas Manish belongs to Muzaffarpur district and had been jailed for demanding ‘Rangdari'( extortion amount). Police are searching for their accomplices.
