Ara : A young man was killed and another injured when a speeding truck dashed their Scooty from behind near Jamalpur on Ara-Chhapara main road under Koelwar police station in Bhojpur district on March 25, 2019, evening.
Irate residents of the area went on rampage after the incident damaging windowpane of the truck and paralysing movement of vehicles for about an hour though the truck driver escaped from the spot leaving the truck behind. The deceased was identified as Pintu, 29, son of late Bigan Singh of Koelwar Ward No 10, while and the injured was identified as Gunjan Kumar.
SHO, Koelwar police station, said that Pintu along with his friend Gunjan Kumar was coming to Koelwar from Babura on his scooty. When he reached near Jamalpur on Ara-Chhapara main road under Koelwar police station, a speeding truck dashed the scooty from behind killing Pintu on the spot and injuring Gunjan Kumar, the SHO said.
