Woman killed, son injured as speeding bus dashes bike

Ara : Usha Devi alias Mintu Devi, wife of Guddu Singh of village Siharua under Jagdishpur police station, was killed while her son Munnu was injured when a speeding bus dashed the motorcycle they were riding from behind near village Dulaur on NH 30 on March 26, 2019, morning. Police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem and admitted the injured there.

SHO, Jagdishpur police station, said that Usha Devi had gone to her parents’ house at Udwantnagar and was returning to Siharua with her son on motorcycle. When they reached near Dulaur village, a speeding bus dashed the motorcycle from behind injuring both the motorcycle riders, the SHO said. The driver escaped with the bus from the place. Police were carrying the injured mother -son duo to Sadar Hospital, Ara, but Usha Devi succumbed to her injuries on way to the hospital, the SHO added.
