Ara : Irate villagers set ablaze a police jeep and also hurled stones at the Karnamepur Police Outpost in Bhojpur district on January 17, 2018, in protest against the murder of newspaper hawker Yogendra Tatwa. Tension prevails in the area after the incident. Senior police officers rushed to the spot and are still camping there to restore peace.

Some unidentified armed miscreants shot dead a newspaper hawker Yogendra Tatwa, son of  Shankar Tatwa of village Ramdatai under Shahpur police station, near Bus stand under Karnamepur Police Outpost on January 17 when he had gone to distribute newspapers. The miscreant escaped after firing on Yogendra Tatwa. About three months ago, the miscreants had killed his cousin brother Rajendra Tatwa but police still remain clueless in that case.
