Ara : Bhojpur police arrested three criminals along with firearms from Anaith locality under Nawada police station, Ara, on January 17, 2018, when they were hatching plan to commit crime somewhere. Two other criminals managed to escape. Police seized two countrymade pistols, three live cartridges and two motorcycles from their possession.

The arrested miscreants were identified as Diwakar Kumar, son of Ravi Shankar Prasad of Nawada locality under Nawada police station, Danish Ansari, son of Md Muzib of Belaur village under Udwantnagar police station, and Prince Kumar, son of Siddheshwar Rai of Koyal village under Charpokhari police station. A named FIR was lodged with Nawada police station in this connection and all the arrested miscreants were to jail.

SHO, Nawada police station, Sudhir Kumar said that he had received information that some members of gang of notorious Ranjeet Chaudhary, resident of Belaur village, had come to Anaith locality under Nawada police station to commit some crime. The SHO along with other police personnel immediately conducted raids in the area and arrested three miscreants while hatching conspiracy to commit crime though two criminals including Niraj of Lodipur village under Chandi police station managed to escape.

One of the arrested criminals Prince Kumar is a named accused in the firing on Lav Singh at village Lodipur  under Chandi police station on January 7, 2018, and was absconding while Niraj was wanted in the murder of a retired armyman Butan Sharma at Lodipur under Chandi police station in November 2017.

The SHO said that the miscreants confessed that they targeted only railway passengers and the bank customers. He said that police were trying to arrest a notorious criminal Pawan Chaudhary.
