Raxaul : Fourteen persons including a Pakistani woman and five from Bihar have been arrested by Nepal police with
Indian counterfeit  notes of the face value of Rs 55 lakh  and Counterfeit  US dollars of the face value of  $19500. All the arrested persons  are being quizzed by  top revenue intelligence officials and  the officials of special bureau of Metropolitan police.

For the second time in less than one-and-a-half- month, a second Pakistan national has been arrested with fake notes. The record haul of fake US dollars  in Nepal has surprised all. Bam Bahadur Bhandari , DIG, special bureau of
police, Kathmandu,  told newsmen on Tuesday  evening that  acting on a tip off, police sleuths arrested a woman near Tribhuwan international airport on Saturday  and recovered  huge  fake US dollars and Indian currency. During interrogation, she said her name is Shama Naz  and she belongs to Pakistan.

The police also seized her passport  and examined it to verify her name and address. She admitted  for the first time she has brought US dollars on trial basis in Nepal to dispose them of in Indian territory. The police said, she admitted that she is  member of of a gang of fake note racketeers of Pakistan and named some persons  of Kathmandu who are in this racket. The police swung into action  and arrested 13 persons from different places around Kathmandu  and recovered fake currency from their possession.

The Nepal police identified five arrested persons  belonging to Jamui  district of Bihar. They are: Arun Kumar , Baidyanath Gupta , Vijay Sharma , Yusuf Khan and Zaisuf . The Nepal police  is verifying the names and addresses  of
all the arrested persons  in Nepal and Bihar  to nab their other associates. The racketeers seem to be tapping Indian
nationals working in Nepal to dispose of these fake notes ,the police added .
