Naxalites blow up dumper of road construction firm in Bhojpur

Ara: Some naxalites blew up a dumper of a road construction company near village Chhotaki Kharaon under Sahar police station on Khaira-Nasariganj main road late Sunday evening after their demand for extortion money was not conceded.
Ara SDO Navdeep Shukla and Piro SDPO J P Rai along with heavy police force rushed to the spot immediately. An FIR has been lodged with Sahar police station against two named and three unnamed persons but no arrest has so far been made in this regard. The persons against whom named FIR is lodged are: Ashok Ram and Chhotu Kahar of Chhotaki Kharaon under Sahar police station in Bhojpur district.

SHO Sahar police station B K Brajesh said that a road was being made between Khaira and Nasariganj and the naxalites had demanded money from the road construction company engaged in the work. When their demands were not fulfilled, they blew up the dumber and also beat up the driver and snatched his mobile, driving license and money. When the driver tried to escape, the naxalites fired at him but he fled away unhurt. The manager of road construction company Shivam Kumar said that the naxalites were demanding money from him ever the work started but he never yielded to their dictate.
