Naxalite on mission to collect levy from contractor arrested in Rohtas

Sasaram : Rohtas police arrested a hardcore naxal Laxman Ram alias Ankitji from Bhadkuria village under Indrapuri 0police station on February 02 and also seized a countrymade pistol, four live cartridges and some naxal literature from his possession. Later,  police forwarded him to jail.

SDPO Dehari-on-Sone, Anwar Jawed said that he got information that a person had come near Bhadkuria fall to collect levy in the morning on February 2. A police team was sent there that arrested Laxman Ram alias Ankitji of Babhanvalia in Buxar district. He confessed before the police that he had come to collect levy from a contractor engaged in road construction there. He also said that he was an active member of naxal organization for the last seven years and realized levy from the brick kiln contractors. Police also seized a countrymade pistol, four live cartridges and ‘lal salam written pamphlets and naxal literatures from his possession.
