Mystery shrouds death of man at in-laws’ place in Bhojpur

Ara : Ratan Kumar Rawani, 24, son Kalishankar Rawani died under mysterious circumstances at his in-laws’ place in  Sutahatti locality under Jagdishpur police station in Bhojpur district. Police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital on August 4, 2017, evening,for post-mortem. A named FIR was lodged with Jagdishpur police station against Ratan’s wife Reena Kumari and his father-in-law Santosh Rawani in this connection but no arrest has so far been made in this connection.

Ratan Kumar Rawani was a resident of village Barhara under Barahara police station in Bhojpur district and was married to Reena Kumari, daughter of Santosh Rawani of Sutahatti locality under Jagdishpur police station, in May 2015. He worked in a textile company in Gujrat and had come to his native village a fortnight ago. His wife Reena Kumari lived at her father’s house. On August 3, Ratan Kumar Rawani went to his ‘sasural’ in Sutahatti locality to bring his wife back his wife but she was not ready to come to Barhara. Ratan Kumar Rawani and Reena Kumari had some tiff on August 4 over the issue. 

Ratan’s father Kali Shankar Rawani alleged that Santosh Rawani and his daughter Reena Kumari had poisoned him to death on August 4.
