Monfils & Krajinovic to clash in SFs of ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament

Patna : Third seed Gael Monfils, 33, France, and World No 39 Filip Krajinovic, 27, Serbia, entered the semi-finals of ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament, an ATP World Tour 500 indoor hard courts event, at Rotterdam, Netherlands, on February 15, 2020. They will clash in the semi-finals on February 16, 2020.

World No 9 and defending champion Gael Monfils beat World No 33 Daniel Evans, 29, UK, 7-6, 6-2 in 1hr 52 minutes in quarter-finals. Monfils won 3 break points in the match to 1 by Evans. He also won 5 games in a row to 2 by Evans. Monfils won 34 receiving points to 18 by Evans. He also fired 8 Aces in the match to 2 by Evans. Both the players committed 2 double faults each. In all, Monfils won 76 points to 62 by Evans.

Krajinovic upset World No 15 Andrey Rublev, 22, Russia, 7-6, 6-4 in 90 minutes in QFs. Krajinoviv won 2 break points in the match to 1 by the Russian. He won 3 games in a row in the match to 2 by 7th seed Russian. Rublev though fired 10 Aces in the match to 5 by the Serbian. Both the players won 21 receiving points each in the match. In all, Krajinovic won 72 points to 64 by Rublev.
