Ara : The mastermind behind the blast at Harkhen Kumar Jain Dharmshala under Ara Town police station, in BHojpur district, Jitendra Kumar Singh, was sent to Ara jail on February 25, 2018, after the doctor declared him fit. Another accused Madan Paswan alias Vicki Paswan alias Brihaspati Paswan, son of Mangal Paswan, died at Patna Medical College and Hospital(PMCH) during treatment on February 23, 2018.

A bomb had exploded at Harkhen Kumar Jain Dharmshala, Ara, on February 15, 2018, that had triggered sensation in Ara town. Two criminals were injured in the explosion. One of them Madan Paswan alias Vicki Paswan alias Brihaspati Paswan was referred to PMCH where he succumbed to his injuries while another Jitendra Kumar Singh was treated at Ara Sadar Hospital.

Five criminals from Telipada in Kolkata, West Bengal, had checked in at Harkhen Kumar Jain Dharmshala at about 6.30am on February 15 and were allotted Room No 10. Jitendra Kumar Singh, a resident of Ganghar village under Ara Muffassil police station, had submitted his Adhar Card with address of West Bengal for allocation of room at Dharmshala. Around 6.40am, a bomb exploded in the room in which Vicky Paswan sustained serious injuries.

In the melee, all the four associates of Vicky Paswan of Telipada including Jitendra Kumar Singh escaped from the Dharmshala. Jitendra Kumar Singh, who was also injured in the blast, took shelter in a room in Machhua Toli locality under Town police station but police arrested him from there. Vicky Paswan also tried to escape but the manager of Dharmshala Amarjeet Singh caught him and handed him over to police.

SDPO, Ara, Sanjay Kumar said that police would take Jitendra Kumar Singh on remand for interrogation. He said that the rest three miscreants will also be arrested very soon.
