Ara woman claims 2 persons killed her 4 yr old son, tried to kill her & younger son

Ara : An FIR was lodged by Sinha Police Outpost (OP) in Bhojpur district on February 25, 2018, against two persons in connection with murder of a minor child Rudra Kumar, 4, and atteempt to kill his mother Jyoti Devi and his 18 month old younger brother Sunny Kumar on on the statement of the woman but no arrest has so far been made in this connection.

SHO Sinha Police Outpost Arvind Kumar said that Jyoti Devi, daughter of Bharat Singh of Rampur under Krishnagarha police station in Bhojpur district, was married to Kunal Singh, son of Bindeshwari Singh of Sinha village in 2011 and had two sons: Rudra Kumar and Sunny Kumar, 18 months.

Jyoti Devi alleged that her husband Kunal Singh had extra-marital relation with another girl and also married her and when she opposed it, he tortured and thrashed her repeatedly. Jyoti Devi said that she had complained to her father-in-law and other family members but to no avail. After that Kunal Singh thrashed her even more saying it was his personal matter and she had nothing to do with it. When she continued protesting his second marriage, the family members planned to eliminate her, Jyoti alleged adding on February 21, 2018, her husband said her on mobile to leave his house with both her sons and commit suicide by consuming poison along with her sons but she did not complied with his wish.

On February 22, 2018, when she was giving oil massage to her sons, two persons with their faces covered entered her room and slit the throat of her two minor sons as well as her. Her four year old son Rudra Kumar died on the spot, Jyoti said adding she and her one- and-a- half a old son Sunny Kumar were admitted to Ara Sadar Hospital in a precarious condition.

On the other hand, Jyoti’s in-laws have also lodged a named FIR with Sinha Police Outpost against Jyoti Devi charging her with slitting the throat of her two sons and herself killing her son Rudra Kumar. The SHO said that the reason behind the incident will be cleared after thorough investigation.
