Patna : Jan Adhikar Party (JAP) patron and Madhepura MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav on March 27, 2017, apprehended threat to his life after JAP workers were lathicharged by police when they were their staging demonstration against the state government before Bihar assembly. Pappu Yadav also sustained injury in the incident and said CRPF personnel saved him. Police also used water canons to disperse JAP activists. Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly Prem Kumar described police action as inhuman as several JAP workers were injured in lathicharge. Police said that JAP workers had entered prohibited area. Pappu was arrested late March 27 night after a high voltage drama and produced before a Patna court.
